Waypoint Wentzville

Hello! 👋

We are so excited to meet you! No matter where you are in your faith journey, we invite you to find meaning, purpose, and community in the Way of Jesus with us at Waypoint Church.

Who Is Waypoint Church?

Waypoint Church is a community of Jesus-followers centralized in Wentzville, MO, and gathered in communities all around Missouri and Kansas. We value the truth of Scripture, the teachings of Jesus, the way of life He has called us to live, and the mission to love and serve our neighbors for the sake of the gospel. For clarity, we've distilled our identity into the five "We Are" statements listed below.

"We are Gospel-centered."

The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ perfectly fulfilled the law, sacrificially died for our sins, physically rose from the dead, to permanently reconcile His people to a holy God through repentance of sin and faith in Him. We call that good news “the gospel,” and it invites us into a brand-new life, a restored relationship with God, and an eternal residence in His coming kingdom. We are unapologetically centered on this good news and we will forever be a good-news people.

"We are transformed by truth."

The gospel does not just save us, but it changes us. It teaches us to live all of life all for Jesus. The power to follow Jesus comes from two things: the Holy Spirit and the word of God. The Holy Spirit is at work in us to illuminate and apply God’s living and active word—renewing our minds and transforming our hearts, expanding our capacity for all of life worship.

"We are missionally engaged."

Disciples live with the same purpose as Jesus: to make God known and loved all over the world. Everything we do is aimed toward that end. We are passionate about equipping God’s people to love God and love their neighbors—to go across the street and around the world.

"We are faithful servants."

Jesus’ life was marked by faithful, humble, and generous service. We follow His example by serving others faithfully both inside the church and out in the community. This is a tangible expression of God’s grace and love for the world.

"We are an authentic community."

Community is the context for worship, discipleship, mission, and service. It’s not a preference but rather a part of our new identity as God’s people. We were made for relationship with God and with one another. The gospel creates space for us to be fully known and wholly loved.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our primary desire to plant Waypoint Wentzville is to reach those far from Christ. Dozens of denominational studies have confirmed that the average new church gains most of its new members (60–80 percent) from the ranks of people who are not attending any worshiping body. ”Why Plant Churches?” Tim Keller, Redeemer City to City. New churches serve as an incredible opportunity for those who are exploring the faith to join in on. Everyone is new in a church plant and can easily build relationships as we seek to grow spiritually!

Our community is currently experiencing explosive growth. With this development, provides incredible opportunities to reach new families moving into our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and old alike that are not currently active in a local church. We thank God for the faithful Gospel central churches in our community and look forward to partnering alongside of them!

Currently, we are set to host three preview services at B&B Movie Theaters in Wentzville.

Those service dates are July 28th, August 25th, and September 29th. All services will begin at 9:00 AM.

Absolutely! WayKids is making a way for kids to BELONG, so that they can BELIEVE in Jesus Christ for salvation, and BECOME the disciples God created them to be. If you have a child ages birth through 5th grade, we’d love to have them worship with us on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM.

Yes! We plan to have live preaching each Sunday, most often from pastor Matt. Typically, we will be in the same sermon series as our other Waypoint campuses. We will usually be walking through a book of the Bible together.
